1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account or purchase a course, we collect your name, email address, and payment information. Account authentication is handled by AWS Cognito, a secure identity service. We store your account details and course progress in our database (Amazon DynamoDB).

Payment Information

Payment processing is handled by Stripe, a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full payment card details on our servers. Stripe collects and processes this information directly. Please review Stripe’s Privacy Policy at stripe.com/privacy.

Course Activity and Progress

We collect data about your course activity, including which lessons you have viewed, video watch time, quiz scores, and completion status. This information is used to deliver your course, track your progress, and generate your certificate of completion.

Analytics and Usage Data

We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager (GTM) to collect information about how visitors use our site. This may include your IP address, browser type, pages visited, time spent on pages, and referring URLs. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this information. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics for site performance monitoring. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies or track individual users across sites.

Email Communications

We use Resend to send transactional emails, including course enrollment confirmations, certificate notifications, and account-related messages. We do not sell your email address or use it for unsolicited marketing.

Cookies

We use cookies for session management, authentication, and analytics. Essential cookies are required for the site to function (e.g., keeping you logged in). Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) can be declined using your browser settings or the opt-out tool linked above.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We share your information with the following third-party providers only as necessary to deliver our services:

• Amazon Web Services (AWS) — Cloud infrastructure, authentication (Cognito), and database (DynamoDB). AWS is SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certified.
• Stripe — Payment processing. Stripe is PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant.
• Google (Analytics / Tag Manager)— Website analytics and event tracking. Subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.
• Resend — Transactional email delivery.
• Cloudflare — Content delivery network (CDN), video hosting (Cloudflare Stream), and web analytics.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account information and course records for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Course completion records and certificates may be retained longer for regulatory purposes.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate personal information
• Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any email

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), secure authentication via AWS Cognito, and PCI-compliant payment handling via Stripe. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children’s Privacy

Our services are intended for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at info@expertccw.com and we will promptly delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy
