Find answers to common questions about our CCW training courses, certification process, and permit requirements.
What is included in the CCW training course?
Our courses include the complete NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course covering firearm safety, pistol fundamentals, ammunition knowledge, shooting techniques, and state-specific concealed carry laws. You'll receive approximately 8 hours of instruction through interactive slideshows, and must pass a 50-question exam with 80% or higher.
Do I need any prior experience with firearms?
No prior experience is required. Our courses are designed for beginners and start with the fundamentals of firearm safety and handling. The NRA Basic Pistol curriculum covers everything from basic pistol parts to proper shooting techniques.
How long does it take to complete the course?
The course content is approximately 8 hours total. You can complete it at your own pace - pause, resume, and review sections as needed. Most students complete the course within 1-3 days, but you have unlimited access once enrolled.
What happens after I complete the course?
Upon passing the final exam with 80% or higher, you'll receive a certificate of completion. This certificate is used when applying for your CCW permit with your state or county. We provide state-specific guidance on the application process.
Is this course accepted for Ohio CCW permits?
Yes! Our Ohio CCW course meets all state requirements for concealed carry permit training. The certificate you receive upon completion is accepted by Ohio county sheriffs for CCW license applications.
What is the Arizona Non-Resident permit?
The Arizona Non-Resident CCW permit allows you to legally carry in Arizona and many other states through reciprocity agreements. We offer Arizona certification as part of our Multi-State CCW Package ($149), which includes Ohio + Florida + Arizona permits for maximum state coverage.

Do you offer refunds?
We offer a satisfaction guarantee. If you're not satisfied with the course, please contact us within 7 days of purchase and before completing the final exam, and we'll work with you to make it right.
How long is my certificate valid?
Your certificate of completion does not expire. However, CCW permits themselves have expiration dates that vary by state (typically 4-5 years), and you'll need to renew your permit according to your state's requirements.
Do I need to complete any live-fire training?
Our online course covers the 6 hours of classroom instruction required by Ohio law. Ohio also requires 2 hours of in-person live-fire range training, which must be completed separately at an approved range. We provide guidance on completing your range requirement.
